***Delawareans 65 and older can now register with the State to get an appointment to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Later next week, other groups within the 1b category should be eligible.***
The registration process began January 20th at 8:30 a.m. Those who qualify should visit the following website: coronavirus.delaware.gov.
Those in Phase 1A and who haven’t received a vaccine yet are still eligible to receive the vaccine. Efforts will continue to vaccinate Phase 1A health care personnel and long-term care residents and staff who have not yet been vaccinated.
Locations offering vaccines to 1b (65 and over currently):
- A list of pharmacies providing the COVID vaccine will be available starting the week of January 25th through the state website provided above.
- Those 65 years and older can view the following site to learn of current vaccine sites offered throughout the state at https://coronavirus.delaware.gov/vaccine/where-can-i-get-my-vaccine/vaccination-events/. To register, those 65 years and older should visit: https://vaccinerequest.delaware.gov/s/de-vms-screening?language=en_US. Vaccines will not be administered without an appointment. Please understand that the state has issued the following mandate: After you make an appointment request, you will receive a confirmation email that your request was received to be vaccinated. Due to limited supply, there will not be enough vaccination slots in the early days for everyone who requests an appointment to get one immediately. When there is a slot available to you, you will receive an invitation email with instructions to make an appointment for a specific time and location. If there is not a slot for you, your request will be held to receive an invitation for future vaccination events.
Please be patient with Pointe Primary Care staff, as this is an evolving process, and we are in close contact with the State; however, there may be changes to procedures as vaccine administration progresses.
Beebe Healthcare will now start offering anyone 65 and older in our community the opportunity to get a vaccine as long as they have the supply. If you are 65 or older and wish to get on a list to be notified when you can get a vaccine through Beebe, please go to www.beebehealthcare.org/covid-19-vaccine and click on the “Get On a Vaccine Waiting List” button.
